Noureddine Ouarhim is a young Moroccan contemporary artist from the Haha region, in the province of Essaouira. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) in Tétouan. His artistic approach explores the profound relationship between identity, memory, and materiality through the use of natural elements such as soil, lime, roots, and earthy tonal gradients. These elements, imbued with memory and history, express the existential bond between the nomadic human and the land, which he perceives as an extension of the body and the soul. Through research, experimentation, and the transformation of material into a visual language, he seeks to evoke the memory embedded within the earth, to build a bridge between human beings and their origins, and to make art an act of remembrance and resistance against oblivion.
